The rebranding of Golden Sands Resort was an exciting opportunity for CultureSpan Marketing to blend coastal charm with a vintage aesthetic.
Through a collaborative creative process, our team developed multiple logo concepts that captured the essence of the beachside getaway,
ultimately leading to a nostalgic design that resonated with the client. With the refreshed brand identity in place, we look forward to seeing it come
to life across the resort’s property and maybe even experiencing it firsthand.

THE PROJECT

The opportunity to work on a rebranding is always a treat. Throw in the challenge of working on a project that’s not only outside of our region but for a beachfront business as well, and the fun gets taken to a whole other level! Earlier in 2023, Golden Sands Resort connected with CultureSpan Marketing about our creative services to help provide a refresh for their visual identity.

The oceanside company was in the process of having a complete makeover developed for their hotel rooms and decided the time was right to revamp their logo as well.

THE APPROACH

While it was a given that the new mark should encompass elements of the beach, ocean, and fun vibes overall, the Golden Sands team also wanted it to possess a vintage look and feel as well. Our Senior Art Director, J.C., was very much up for the challenge and began his creative process with the development of a mood board that represented the ideal elements and treatments our team was suggesting for the new Golden Sands logo. Upon reviewing our recommendations with the client team, we proceeded with a better understanding of expectations to start developing creative options for review.

THE RESULTS

The final recommendations included a mosaic-style mark that consisted of beach and ocean elements, a sunrise approach with the letters “G” and “S” included in the icon, plus a version that primarily focused on the vintage treatment. We also included sample executions for each logo to provide a better idea of how each one could be utilized throughout property assets. While the Golden Sands team enjoyed aspects of each execution, the full-on vintage approach was the all-around favorite for everyone. We’re excited to see it implemented throughout brand elements and just may have to go check it out in person.
